We have been so lucky this week to have Ryan home for an extended time. He was supposed to have 2 trips but they were both cancelled! It has been great to reconnect as a family.
Yesterday was a go-go-go kind of day. We had ballet in the morning. Caitlin is really catching on and loves it so much. They are hard at work practicing their routines for the recital. Are you going to come see it? Our little ballerina would LOVE a cheering section! Then, it was back home for some lunch before we headed to basketball. Austin had his first win in "dribble tag" and he was soooooooo excited!!! He also did a great job dribbling around cones and was making baskets left and right. His favorite thing is defense though. My gosh...he puts some serious pressure on the opponent!
We got home around 3:00 and the kids were ready for a snack and a show. Austin stretched out on the couch to read his program from the previous night's Pacers game & fell asleep! A good thing...he doesn't really do too well without a nap. While the kids chilled, I got ready for my big date with my hubby. Yes, we had a date!!!! :)
Aunt Bubbles came to watch the kids (and get them good and tired). Ryan and I went to a benefit for a great organization called World Next Door (click on the link on the right and check it out). It was in a cool office space downtown. We had SUCH a great time...great people, great atmosphere, DELICIOUS food & mixed juices. We wandered around and enjoyed the beautiful photos from around the world, watched an amazing video about a little boy in Ukraine, and took part in our first silent auction. We bid on 2 items and won one...a gift certificate to The Jazz Kitchen -- OH YEAH, another date night for mommy & daddy! :)
Right now the kids are in the basement playing basketball and watching Snow White. Can you guess who is doing what?!?!
