TGFSB??? YES, thank goodness for "sugar bugs"!!! This week at school the kids did a unit on dental health and now they are asking about the sugar content in their food! They don't want sugar bugs on their teeth. YAY! Today for snack they ate string cheese and didn't even ask about having a cookie (HOORAY!). We even read the label to make sure there were no sugar bugs in cheese. Hey, I've been trying to get them to eat better but mom knows nothing....Ms. Amy says something and it's gospel around here! I WILL TAKE IT!!!!!! :) I will be interested to see how long Austin refrains from chocolate (his favorite food group!). Caitlin asked me if there were sugar bugs in peanut butter...I assured her it was a healthy food and she was relieved.
Today was a much needed break for me. Caitlin has been a handful for the past 2 days...throwing incredible screaming fits for very minor things (you know, she HAS to have her milk in her princess cup even if it is dirty and in the dishwasher). She is trying to tell me something she doesn't quite have the words for yet...Ryan and I have to put on our detective hats and figure it out. SOON....like before I go completely insane. ;)
Saturday if the weather cooperates we are going to another class at the Children's Museum. This one is all about outer space and I'm sure they will love it. Hoping this 2-4 inches of snow they are predicting changes course...we'll see.
Yesterday afternoon was crummy and tantrum filled so I broke out the world famous "art basket". All it is is a small basket of safety scissors, glue sticks, foam shapes, stencils, pre-filled paintbrushes, and some construction paper. They were happy as clams for about an hour and 10 minutes. They LOVE doing art projects! Today while I was out I bought a couple new things to rotate into the basket in case of emergency later. :) Now we've got some colored craft sticks, googly eyes, and glitter glue.
The rest of today will be low key...stops at the pharmacy and dry cleaners, dinner, bath time, pj party, and bed. Tomorrow we have speech at the "big school" and that is about it. Daddy gets home on Sunday (YAY!) and leaves again on Monday (BOO) for his last long trip of the season. Today he is toughing it out in LA and its beautiful, warm weather!!! At some point next week he will be in Arizona...OH, I'm soooo jealous about that! I LOVE ARIZONA! I don't even know why really...
Hoping at some point to load some pictures onto the blog. Ryan says the kids look a lot taller to him. I can tell they are too because now it's no problem for them to reach almost all the way to the back of our counters.
